Brooklyn Gets Synical

For my Humorous Illustration class we were allowed to pick any article/editorial and do a full page illustration to go with it. This is my editorial illustration response to an article about Death Bear, the new face of Valentine's Day.Can anyone tell how I feel about Valentine's Day?

Strathmore Entry

The real titles of this is "They Donated,You Recycle"

The Media used was- chalk pastel, prisma colored pencil , and prisma markers.
I drew the lineart with colored pencil on Strathmore paper,scanned it into the computer, printed it out again on Strathmore paper, colored little by little (using spray fixative when I liked parts) , and scanned/pieced it in on the computer.Finishing touches in an extremely outdated Photoshop.Haha.
I don't remember how I was really feeling when I did this.I think I just really wanted to prove to myself I am investing in the right career.

Hypnotizing Flamingos

Since I've been failing to actually blog on my blog, I decided to put forth enough effort to at least post something!
This is the process of my first project from Humorous Illustration.The project was to make a bus card for the Columbus Zoo and I definitely took liberties! I mixed in concept art and worked on a limited palette.I was feeling pretty good during the weeks this was done...I think.
