Commission Experiment

I...am not good at Photoshop. I've had it for years, but I guess I don't like to do intricate renders-just cartoony quick colors. I have to gain patience. But it's 3:30am and I lost all that I saved up! But this is just a $20 casual commission I did for a friend that should have been done...Oh,about 3 years ago. I'm bad and I just kept forgetting about it. >__<

We'd All Like to Ride One.

Just thought I'd put up some process pictures of the sculpey figure I've been working on the last few weeks. I'm pretty sure I have over 40 hours put into this and I'm still not done! I have to make the reigns and finish the base and I might make a background mock up to place this in.

But anyway, this is one of my main male characters, Zanzabar Beltroy, riding what I'm calling a Holarceros. posed the original reference drawing for this a couple weeks ago so look through my previous posts if you'd like to see it!

Wow...I have not drawn on the computer in a long time...and I forgot how terrible my tablet is.Haha...ooooy.

Anyway!Just a few outfit designs and a color study for one of the main characters of the new story I'm working on for next semester's class.

I have a few things planned out,but not a lot to comment yet!

Her name is Whipple(tentatively) and she is about 22 yrs-oldish. Not sure yet. I'm excited to work on her more and so I hope people can help me by telling me what she needs more of/less of?

With finals over and done with, I finally have time to do stuff for myself again! And so I am already starting on concepting work for next year's classes, including a 3d creature I am making for the 2011 display at CCAD...hopefully with my teacher's blessing it will become a reality.

So I've been getting out a few ideas on paper and I finally made a head I was 85% happy with. This little guy is a splicing of an anteater,striped hyena, frilled shark, and a few other animals. For the body, I'm still deciding whether I want a gorilla/mole/hyena combo or a hyena/anteater/mole/kangaroo combo. I'll post the results soon!
